Fischbach – a small village located in the district of Winz in Styria. In February 2003 Fischbach was officially recognized as a health resort. Fischbach is the highest village in Styria (1050 metres above sea level). 12 kilometers from Fischbach is a municipality Birkfeld, and is located 27 kilometres of Winz. The highest point of Fischbach – mount Teufelstein (1498 feet above sea level).

Fischbach was first mentioned in the land register of the diocese of Seckau in 1295. Local residents were engaged in agriculture, which was the main source of income.

In 1960 Fischbach turned into a tourist resort. Winter began to work the lifts for skiing, in summer, vacationers come to enjoy the curative mountain air. In 1967 he built a mini Golf course, and in 1980 came the tennis courts.
