The Church of the Holy heart of Jesus – modern Church, built of reinforced concrete with elements of neo-Baroque. The Church is located on Victory square in Szczecin.
The first stone in the Foundation of the Church was laid on 13 October 1913 Ielem Frederick, who represented the interests of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The building was designed by the city Commissioner of urban planning by Berhard Stahl on the model of garrison Church of St. Paul in Ulm. A characteristic feature of the Church is bright high tower, covered with green copper roof. Over the main entrance is a bas-relief depicting the battle of St. George with the dragon. Inside the altar of black wood is a neo-Gothic picture "the last supper".
Because of the First world war, the garrison Church was only completed in the summer of 1919. In subsequent years, the Church was enlarged. The chairs were replaced by rows of pews, a new chair of stone was installed in place of the old. On the large balcony over the entrance was an organ, while bell did not have time to bring in the Church until 1945.
During the Second world war the Church was damaged. In June 1945 she was transferred to the Catholic Church and since then has not acted as a garrison Church. In the early postwar years in the interior of the Church, numerous changes were made to reflect the Catholic liturgical rules. Only in 1986, in the temple of set 4 bells.
