The Palace Under the globe is a Palace located on the Plaza of the White eagle in Szczecin. Currently the building is the headquarters of the Academy of arts.

The original Baroque Palace Grumbkow was built in the years 1724-1725 by the architect Pieter de Montargis. Also in construction works was attended by renowned master Philip Gerlach. The sculptural design of the engaged artist Johann Georg Glum.

Exquisite residence was built for Supreme President Philip of Pomerania, Otto von Grumbkow. In 1759, was born in the Palace of his daughter, Princess Sophia Dorothea of Württemberg (later Empress Maria Feodorovna, wife of Tsar Paul I, Maria Feodorovna became the mother of two Russian emperors Alexander I and Nicholas I.)

In 1782, the Palace was bought by Frederik merchant Vaslov. The Palace was destroyed during the Napoleonic wars. In 1890, the building was purchased by an insurance company national. For the restoration work was invited architect from Berlin Franz Wichard. The Palace in neo-Baroque style with stone façade and partial veneer ornate pilasters and bas-reliefs. With the front part of the building is decorated with a globe, which makes the Palace got its name. Globe, crowning the Palace became the symbol of the broadmindedness of the company "national".

During the Second world war the Palace was not destroyed. After 1945 he served as a training center, and since 1961, the building is home to the school of medicine. Currently the Palace is owned by the Art Academy of Szczecin.
