Angelic bridge was built in the 19th century. He was thrown across the street Elk, which runs along the valley between the slopes of the hill Domberg. The bridge has the inscription "Оtium reficit vires" ("Rest restores strength"), which inclines you to relax and gain strength in the old Park on the hill. The bridge of Ingvild" was built on the site of a temporary bridge in the years 1814-1816.

The project architect was I. Krause. In 1913, has been renovated for angelic bridge. Then, on the side facing the Park placed a bas-relief of the first rector of the University of Tartu, created by sculptor wetter-Rosenthal.
