The Museum under the open sky vysočina region is situated in the town of Hlinsko. He has a second name, which is often used to refer to Skansen in the local press, kopec. There is a place, where you will find the ethnographic Museum.
The exhibition of the ethnographic Museum is located in three branches. Complex highlands is just one of them. Two other historic neighborhoods in Bethlehem Hlinsko and the village Looser Hamry.
Skansen was founded in 1972 when from different parts of the Iron mountains and areas East of the Czech Republic here began to bring wooden houses, Dating to the XVIII-XIX centuries. For this they were dismantled on the spot, gently moved in trucks, and then on the site of the future Museum of architecture collected. So visitors Skansen see original buildings, among which there are dwelling houses and barns, but also wind mill, chapel, Inn. The Museum has 30 cabins, in each of which one can enter, to see the situation of the peasant houses of centuries past. For greater clarity, together with huts brought from villages and household items, crafts, tools.
Every year on the territory of the ethnographic Museum of vysočina are fairs and festivities dedicated to the celebration of the New year, Easter and so on. The program usually included horseback riding, a noble feast, performances, participation in the historic March. Guests are greeted with chimney sweeps and trainers bear, straw stuffed and peasant gossips. You will not get bored!
Since 2003 only in the Pardubice region Skansen is under protection of the Czech state.
