The Church of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God in the resort town of Theodosius Orthodox Cathedral built in the early 20th century by Count Nikolai Heyden, who was a warden of St. Petersburg Kazan Cathedral, in 1887, gave his house "Cafe", located in Feodosia, in the subordination Toplovsky Holy Paraskevich monastery. A little later the country was renamed the Kazanskoye Podvorye Toplovsky monastery – it was the only condition of the donor.

With the beginning of the Civil war Toplovsky monastery with churches, a monastery and other buildings had been looted in 1919, and many of his shrines - lost. During the great Patriotic war the courtyard of the monastery was used as a concentration camp for Soviet prisoners of war. During the German occupation, the monastery was opened for the purpose of conducting Church services for Romanian soldiers. After entry into the territory of Feodosia Soviet troops in the temple resumed worship (April 1944). In the 1950s and 1960s was carried out the renovation of the temple art paintings, magnificent decoration. Also held a solemn Liturgy.

The Church of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God seems to be slim, lightweight and aspiring to heaven. This impression is created of fine thin columns located at the corners of the building, with a semicircular end walls, the dome, which resembles the helmet of a Russian soldier and light drum containing ten arched Windows. Above the entrance are three interconnected arches. In addition, the Cathedral impresses by its grandeur, rich interior and gorgeous art painting.
