The Church, having the name Vvedenskaya, which is located in Feodosiya, is the oldest architectural monument of the city. It is very famous and popular among visitors and the local population. According to the testimony of historical and archaeological materials, the Greek Church was erected from the seventh to the ninth century.

The temple consists of several structures that were built at different times. The most ancient is its Byzantine part. It is a small Church hall type. The lower part of the bell tower itself consists of four pillars, which are covered with very beautiful dome on pendentives, and relates to constructions of a later period. This part of the building was the entrance portico. In 1829 was built with three naves of the buildings, which connected the ancient bell tower with a part of the Church. This building exists at the present time. In the same year laid the gaps that were between the pillars of the entrance portico. Above the portico was built tier to accommodate the bells. In the ancient part of the Church, in the torispherical arch, made light drum with tents. The interior of the Church was decorated with frescoes and beautiful graceful work – stone carving.

Previously Vvedenskaya Church was run by the Greek community of the city of Feodosia. According to old-timers, the service in this Church were conducted in two languages: Greek and Russian. In the courtyard of the temple was a school, and was located accommodation for the priest.

The Church ceased to operate in 30-ies of XX century. It was closed, like many other temples. The big dome together with the bell tower were demolished. In the last ten years, the Church was used for another purpose. The rich decoration of the temple was lost forever. The room had a gym. In 1993, the Church re-mounted dome and restored it. Currently Vvedenskaya Church is valid.
