The Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo is located in the same building of the Palace near the Church of San STAE in the quarter of Santa Croce in Venice. It contains a rich collection of fabrics and historical costumes, and the Museum is part of the Foundation Musei civici di Venezia.

Palazzo Mocenigo is a huge building in the Gothic style. It was rebuilt in the early 17th century, when it became the residence of a branch of the Mocenigo family. The family was one of the most important in Venice – seven of its members were Doges. In 1945, the year the Palazzo bequest Alvise nicolò Mocenigo became the property of municipality. Alvise was the last representative of the genus and wanted the Palace was used as an art gallery. In 1985, the year it housed a Museum and Research center fabrics and suits. Today in his collection you can see ancient artifacts brought from Correr museums and Guggenheim, Palazzo Grassi and meetings Cini.
