Church of St. Barbara (Barbara) in the current version was built in 1885 by Victor Piotrowski. The first Church on this place was built in 1785. It was designed as a small Church in rural cemetery. In 1800 near the Church was built of brick chapel (chapel) Holy cross. The construction was carried out on money of the Vitebsk cornet's LISCO.
At the end of the nineteenth century the number of parishioners has increased so much that the small cemetery Church could not accommodate everyone. In this regard, it was decided to build a large temple. 4 December 1885 new brick, neo-Gothic Church was consecrated in honor of St. Barbara and St. Joseph.
Holy Martyr Barbara Catholics is considered the protector against sudden death.
