The Museum has two branches: the Museum of the History of the Baranavichy branch of the Belarusian Railways and the railway Museum of the city of Baranovichi.

The second part is a Museum under the open sky, where are collected the most interesting and rare railway vehicles: locomotives, engines, cars.
The city of Baranavichy was born thanks to the railroad, what the grateful townspeople decided to even mention in his arms – it depicts a steam locomotive. In 1871, thanks to the opening of branches of Smolensk – Brest, was built a small station Baranovichi, which was later acquired by enterprises serving railroad, and later grew up the town. The city prospered due to the trade.
Honorable pedestal at the entrance to the Museum is a mock-up of engine "b" series with half-size. It is with this locomotive began Belarusian Railways, when he 28 November 1871 for the first time, proceeded with the first train from Smolensk through Baranovichi in the Brest.
The Museum contains the largest collection of vintage steam locomotives. All equipment in excellent condition. Every year from all over the world people come specifically to look at this rare technique.
