Villanova is one of the quarters of the Sardinian town of Cagliari, located outside the historic centre, but no less interesting. This and adjacent blocks were designed and built after the Second World war, but you can also find monuments of culture and architecture that have become popular tourist attractions, and enjoy the colorful scenery.

In the town of San Lucifero is the homonymous Church, visible and near early Christian Basilica of San Saturnino is one of the oldest temples of Sardinia. Attracts the snow-white Church of " Nostra Signora di Bonaria with the monastery – its name recalls the medieval legends of shipwrecks and the miracles that occurred after the happy discovery of the icon depicting the virgin Mary. In the castle of San Michele on the hill, which will soon be turned into an archaeological Park, the history of Cagliari is closely intertwined with dramatic stories of aristocrats who once lived here.

In the sacristy of the Church of " Nostra Signora di Bonaria houses a collection of miniature ships and thematic canvases depicting the faith of the sailors in the miraculous deeds of their patron Saint. And in the neighborhood of La VEGA is a Museum of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry and the Museum of Geology, paleontology and geography with extensive collections of interesting artifacts.

Villanova and the neighboring blocks may be of interest to shoppers: in April and may in Viale Diaz opened the international fair "Fiera Internazionale", and activities such as Turisport, Sardhotel, Christmas fair, furniture Fair and design are held regularly throughout the year.
