The oldest Church of Karlovy vary is located on an old cemetery, where they found his peace most famous, respected people in the town. Here were buried the famous architects, whose projects were created luxury mansions, doctors, a lot of made for the development of local medicine and studied the healing properties of thermal water from numerous carlsbad springs; artists and musicians praising the beauty of his native city.

The cemetery was removed in 1911, and in its place broke the Park named after Mozart, and the temple remained. It was built in the year 1500, in the Gothic style by the order of Stefan von Branden – nobles from Loket. The temple is deliberately built outside the city on a small platform above the river. Past him was a road on the hill, where executions were made. Sentenced to death prisoners, following past the Church, listened to the sad ringing of bells and the last time to turn to God.

In 1841 there was a major reconstruction of the Church of St. Andrew. Its facade gives the features of the Empire style. In this form the temple and remained to our time.

The Church functioned until the Second world war, then the temple was closed, and for a long time it was abandoned. The building became dilapidated resort town lost one of the tourist sites, which, of course, didn't like urban management. Eventually, in 2005 it was decided to give the temple of Saint Andrew Greek Catholic Church. The Holy fathers took care of the reconstruction of the temple. It is open during the service.
