Children's railway of the city of Donetsk is located in the Park of culture and rest named after Lenin Komsomol, near the stadium "Donbass arena". The highway was named in honor of the former head of the Donetsk railway – V. Priklonsky.

First Donetsk railway Children, the Kirov was opened in 1936 in the Central Park named after A. Shcherbakov. However, during the great Patriotic war it ceased to exist, as it was completely destroyed. New Small children's railway named after V. Priklonsky was built in 1972. Here were built the impressive building of stations and locomotive depots for locomotives.

Today in the exploitation of Small children's railway are two of the locomotive: TU2-023, TU2-038 and five cars PV. All cars repaired, upgraded and brightly colored for the joy of children. Trains Children's railway ply the route, the length of which is 2, 1 kilometers, between two stations - "pioneer" and "miner". The journey time is 25 minutes.

The children's railway station has all the necessary technical equipments. For children groups: train, local history, theatre, music, computer and "skillful hands". Every year young railwaymen and students of Donetsk schools have a great opportunity here to get useful knowledge and practical skills, namely, to learn to drive a train, work dispatchers, conductors and switchmen.

The train ride the children's railway is very convenient to combine with other entertainment. Magistral is located in a Park where children can play in the Playground, stroll through the glade of fairy tales with interesting sculptures, and a tour of the modern stadium "Donbass-arena".
