Art gallery Hristo Coceva is located in the city of Gabrovo in Central Bulgaria. It was opened in 1974. The gallery is named in honor of a native of the town of Gabrovo – the Bulgarian Hristo Coceva, who after graduating from the Moscow art school became the first in the country painter who received professional art education.
Over the years, Art Museum, its collections have been considerably increased. At the moment the collection is presented in four exhibition halls with a total area of 3 thousand square meters. In addition, the Museum also has a store with an area of 9 thousand square meters, which is 3200 exhibits.
As permanent exhibitions here are samples of iconographic art representatives Trevnenskoy art school. The gallery also regularly hosts four major exhibitions: Spring exhibition of artists; the exhibition dedicated to the Day of Gabrovo; Autumn salon; annual Christmas exhibition. In addition, the Museum presents temporary exhibitions devoted to different fields of art.
The Museum hosts various cultural events: book launches, musical evenings, the Days of chamber music, the Days of spiritual music in Gabrovo, celebrations on the occasion of the awarding of prizes and awards, etc.
