Museum of the history of Ghent is located in the ancient Abbey, founded in the early 13th century. Here are preserved the refectory, the dormitory, cloisters with frescoes on the walls. All this is background for the exposition of the Museum where you can see ancient documents, objects of everyday citizens, media-rich layouts of the city and the buildings and other artifacts that reflect the turbulent history of the ancient city.
