The Church of St. Michael the Archangel in the village of Synkovichi is one of the oldest medieval Gothic Orthodox churches on the territory of Belarus. Scientists, historians, theologians, archaeologists argue about the time of the construction of St. Michael's Church and cannot reach a consensus.
There is a beautiful legend that the Church was built in the XIV century by Duke Vytautas in memory and gratitude about how he fled into the woods near Synkovichi from the chase, curb behind him Prince Jagiello.
Some scientists believe that the temple was built in the first half of the XVI century during the reign of Queen Bona. About it is mentioned in a historical document "the Act of visitation".

In 1926 the Church was a branch of the novitiate of the Jesuit mission in Slonim. In 1990 the Church was given to the Orthodox Church.
