Basilica of Wilthen, one of the pearls of Innsbruck, was built on the site of worship of the virgin Mary, known since Roman times. Already since the year 1140 here often made pilgrimage monks remonstrate. The Church was rebuilt several times. The present building was constructed in 1755 in the Rococo style. The interior of the Basilica festively decorated with gold and fine Rococo elements. Master Gunter from Augsburg created magnificent paintings on the ceiling with scenes from the life of the virgin Mary.
