Catholic Cathedral of STS. Peter and Paul can rightly be called the heart of the Kamenetz-Podolsk. To visit the city and not visit this temple – it is like a gift to spend time. This unique ensemble was created from the XV to the XVI century, however, and in subsequent years, he repeatedly rebuilt and expanded. So, the walls of the Church rose chapel of the Immaculate Conception, the virgin of Consolation, Holy Communion, altar, bell tower.

In the period of Turkish rule, the Church was converted into a mosque and it was the expulsion of the Turks from skirts. But relatively brief Turkish rule have not gone to Church without a trace – the West side was erected a minaret. After returning the Kamenetz-Podolsk under Polish rule minaret began to disassemble, and left, and in 1756 it was decorated with a bronze statue of the Madonna, supported on the Crescent symbol of Islam. In the next two centuries, the temple was reconstructed in neo-Gothic style and Baroque architecture, and its interior was painted in the Italian style, typical of the sixteenth century.

The interior is extremely attractive – stained glass, wood carvings and paintings blend harmoniously with the sounds of the old organ, made in the mid-NINETEENTH century to order. Special attention is attracted, located in the temple tombstone of Laura Pshezdetski carved from a single piece of Italian marble in the form of lying on the couch tragically lost girl. This is so fine that it seems that each strand of hair Laura is real.

Not less beautiful and the courtyard of the Church, harmoniously situated rosary and monuments to Pope John Paul II, as well as famous novels by Henryk Sienkiewicz, Jerzy Michael, who died at the siege of the city by the Turks.
