Russian magistrate is in the Old town Kamenetz-Podolsk, on the square in Armenian, which was earlier known as the Soviet and earlier Governors. It is a powerful two-storey stone house, which many years ago was a Russian magistrate.

Around 1658 by the famous Polish king Jan Kazimierz approves law that gives the Russian community the opportunity to use the building without his permission later. Thus, here was located the office of the Russian and Ukrainian quarters of the city. It has been reserved to the Russian community for twelve years. However, in 1670 Russian magistrate was deprived of the full rights of self-government and the use of the premises.

Much later, this ancient and strong, the building was used for a variety of meetings and various fees members of the Podolsk nobility. And after some time the building of the Russian magistrate was used even in the cultural sphere as theater.

From 1805 to 1865 here is located the theological Seminary. It is worth mentioning that in this Seminary in the fifties of the nineteenth century educated people such as the famous Ukrainian poet Rudansky S. V. and svydnyts'kyi Ukrainian writer AP

The second name of the building - the House of the dragon” due to the characteristic drain on the facade of this house.

Today the building is at the disposal of the administration of Kamianets-Podilskyi historical Museum-reserve, which has national significance.
