Once huge Armenian Cathedral. Nicholas, and at present only the ruins, amazing grace fragments of Church wall and stuns miraculously preserved monumental bell tower. There are religious building in the center of the Old quarter of the city, where, since the 14th century, lived Armenian Kamianets-Podilskyi community.

Concerning the time of construction, the Church historians disagree. Thus, according to one version, the Church existed before the founding of the city by princes of PR. According to others, the Church of St. Nicholas was built in ' 98, 14th century by Sinan Colobium, and when in the late 15th century was built a stone Church in honour of St. Nicholas, the old Church was used as the chapel of the Annunciation of the blessed virgin Mary, and in only 11 year of the 19th century was converted back to the Church with the dedication of St. Nicholas. Another historical version says that this Church was built wizard Kiram and Khachik in 1495, allegedly on the site of the previous wooden Church, but on the other one.

The bell tower with battlements and a viewing tower at the top, erected in 1555, similar defensive tower. V G. during the Turkish siege of Kamenets, the temple was destroyed and rebuilt only in the 67 year of the 18th century. And in 1791 he began to act as a Uniate.

The magnificent temple in the style of Byzantine architecture was built with an octagonal dome and covered galleries on the perimeter. East of the altar was the chief, and part of the Western side designed the Greco-Roman pediment. The reason for detuning was the return were in Lviv miraculous icon of the Mother of God in Podolia, which was restored in the temple until 67 years of the 18th century. This icon is one of the most revered relics of the historical heritage of the Armenian people. In 30-ies of the 20th century the Cathedral was blown up. Nowadays, the foundations of the Church were cleaned, and preserved in the tower is a small chapel of the UAOC.
