Waterfall Chong FA is the hallmark of the national Park, Khao Lak - Lamru, founded in 1995. Located in the dense tropical forests it is a powerful stream of water falling from a height of 10 meters and forming a cool natural swimming pool, ideal for swimming. Close to Chong FA is a place for retreat (solitary practice) of Buddhist monks.
The very same national Park covers both the forest and the sea, its total area is 125 sq. km. Given the size of the Khao Lak – Lamru, its flora and fauna bursting with diversity. In a three-tier rainforest it is home to colugo (flying lemur), leaf monkeys, macaque, Malayan porcupines, binturong (Asian Panda), giant black squirrels, tapirs, bats, and many others.
