A relatively new Church of St. Boniface in Liberec, built in the early XX century, in its beauty and splendor is not inferior to his old "brothers" and worthy of the attention of tourists. It is located in an area called the Lower Gameshow.

The decision to build a new Church for the German population lived in Liberec, was made in 1896. Then was declared the fundraising for the new Church. The money the Church donated the rich and poor. After about 20 years the necessary amount gathered, so you can think about buying land and building of the temple.

Locals believe that the Church was built prohibitively long time – 4 years. The first stone in its Foundation was laid in 1915, but then global events and related economic difficulties were not allowed to finish the construction of the Church. The Church was consecrated in 1919 the name of St. Boniface.

The Church has worked with talented local architect Anton Moeller, who designed not only the Church but also restaurants and slaughterhouses, and public buildings.

In 1945, the Germans leave the territory of the Czech Republic, so the service in the Church of St. Boniface are rare. The Church is almost always closed, and the building of its state of decline. To avoid the threat of collapse, regularly in the press start talking about its demolition. In 1989, the Church passed to the Franciscans, who holds the repair.

The temple is decorated with a tower height of 33 meters. Its interior is decorated simply and succinctly: inside you can see the pristine white walls and a small altar on which the sculpture of the patron Saint of the temple.
