Potocki Palace is a Palace in Lublin, built in the 18th century for Jerzy Potocki. The construction of the Palace began in 1719 and continued until 1734. The two-storey building with two side wings, built in the shape of a horseshoe with Italian internal courtyard that served as the residence for Jerzy Potocki and his family. In the late eighteenth century the building was transferred to the state Treasury.

Originally in the former Palace housed the barracks of the national cavalry, then a warehouse, and after the third partition of Polish lands in the building was open prison, which operated for thirty years. The Palace was stripped of all internal and external decor. In 1826 a new prison was opened in the castle and the Palace was handed over to the military police. In 1918, the Potocki Palace was opened to the Public Central police office.

During the Second world war the Palace was severely damaged, there were no changes, except that instead of the police operational police station. In 1994, the Palace became the seat of the Lublin Catholic University, which in 2009 bought out the building. The University administration planned to fully restore the historical appearance of the Potocki Palace, however, in 2010, the building was again sold in the state.

Currently the city is awaiting a buyer who will be willing to invest in the restoration of the Palace a large sum of money, returning it to its former glory and beauty.
