Oceanarium Kaiyukan" in Osaka was opened in 1990 and is considered one of the largest in the world. This aquarium city-type that is located indoors. It presents the animals and plants that live near the coasts of continents and Islands of the Pacific ocean, in the so-called Pacific volcanic ring – more than 30 thousand inhabitants, including fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and invertebrates 580 species.

15 aquariums recreated various zones of the Pacific ocean – for example, ecosystems of the Aleutian Islands or the Great Barrier reef. On the eighth floor of man-made noise Japanese forest inhabited by monkeys and birds sing. Also on this level presents colorful fish tropical latitudes and the fish and mammals that live in fresh water.
