A unique monument - the panorama "Pleven epopee 1877" - was opened in 1977 in honor of the centennial of the liberation of Pleven from the Turkish slavery. An impressive building located in the heart of the field of battle during the Russian-Turkish confrontation of 1877-1878 and is located in the Park's Museum, named after the war hero, the adjutant General M. D. Skobelev. The building looks like a truncated cone, raised on four stylized bayonets. Four rings encircle the majestic building – the upper three represent three of assaults, and a fourth, lower, with bayonets – the subsequent blockade.
The building has four rooms: an Introduction, Panoramic, Diaramic, Final.
In the opening room are paintings illustrating the history of Bulgaria and the course of Russian-Turkish war.
Panoramic room, having a diameter of 40 meters, presents the audience with the epic fabric (woven from flax with only one connecting seam) with a height of 15 and a length of 115 meters. It depicts the events that occurred during the third assault on the city of Pleven. On the painting worked Russian-Bulgarian a group of artists under the guidance of the painter Nikolai Ovechkin. To create the proper atmosphere the lower part of the panorama is a pedestal, on which are copies of items and weapons of those times.
A painting Diorama hall demonstrates the final battle for the town near the river Vit 10 December 1877, the Size of this canvas is 5 meters in height and 17 in length.
Finally, Concluding hall. There are two paintings depicting the act of surrender of Osman Pasha and the transition of the army of the Russian Empire to the Balkan mountain.
At reception, Museum visitors can see a memorial plaque, which in 2007 was walled metal capsule with the message and guidance of residents to their descendants. It is scheduled to open in 2077. Also the visitors can buy Souvenirs and information materials.
