The state Museum-reserve of the Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov in Pyatigorsk, Lermontov street, 4 is the only attraction in Russia associated with his name, preserved in its original form.
The Museum-reserve was established in 1912 It is housed in the house where the poet spent the last few months and wrote his last poem: "Sea Princess", "Leaf" and others that become masterpieces of Russian literature. Hence the dead were buried during the duel of Lermontov. House for long years of existence was practically destroyed. The interior of the building was reconstructed according to the descriptions of friends and acquaintances of the poet.
