Mount říp is a legendary hill, revered by all Czechs as the place where it started from their land. Due to its shape, this mountain resembles an upturned table and especially beautiful at sunset. However, travelers climb it at any time of the day, because it is considered a place where one should visit every resident of the Czech Republic at least once in life. Tourists are not far behind from the locals, trying to see the places where he himself has been the progenitor of all Czechs.

According to a local legend, Cech came up here with the people who followed him and fully trust him. He glanced around at the surroundings and was very pleased. Before him stretched the earth, abounding in game and fish, forests and fields, fertile soil and clear creeks, flowing rivers, and high mountains. This is the place, decided Cech, where his people will be easy to build their future life, to raise children, to plan for the future. Then he addressed his men and encouraged them to develop new space, which he called "the promised land".
