The resurrection Cathedral, the oldest stone building and the main Orthodox temple of the city of Sumy is located on the street too. The Cathedral is a wonderful example of Ukrainian Baroque.

Resurrection Church was built in the late 17 - early 18 century with funds Sumy colonels Gerasim and Andrew Kondratieff. The Church served as the burial place of all kinds of Kondratieff. Some time she also served as normal for the "stone" defensive function until the end of the 18th century,
