Ethnographic center all-Russian historical and ethnographic Museum is located in building merchants manor, which is an architectural monument of the 19th century. "Russ is alive and legendary" is an ethnographic exhibition on the life, daily life, traditions and culture of the Russian people. Here you can learn about the traditions and customs that accompanied the birth of new life, about how spent his childhood and adolescent years our ancestors – in which games are played, as I learnt the basics of peasant life, as the acquaintance of young people how to Woo a bride, celebrated the wedding of. Also visitors of this exhibition can see firsthand peasant dwelling and learn how to get out of the house. The guide will tell about the internal and external decoration of the Russian houses, where the house stands the red corner, what is Indian Koot, the house where he lives, and how in the old days was moved to the new house. The exposition also tells about the occupations of our ancestors, of those saints, through which they requested (by ploughing, sowing or harvest, as well as expelling cattle in the field. In the Museum you can get acquainted with ancient Russian peasants clothing, tools and utensils for cooking, to plunge into the world of traditional Russian folklore, mermaids, devils, water, Bannikov, Vinnikov and t.d.
The exhibition "Not for drunkenness..." tells the story of the appearance in Russia of beverages and their role in family rites and rituals. Visitors learn what the drink was called in the 18th-nachale centuries of vodka, what appetizer was served to each drink, and visit the reconstructed tavern. Also here will tell you about the history of the emergence of pubs, about what "glory" from the population they used and the rules of their use.

In the Ethnographic center operates an art Studio "Source" that aims to promote the revival of folk arts and involvement of population in Russian cultural traditions.
