Museum of history of Varna is located in a building originally built for the needs of the Belgian Consulate. Subsequently, it went through a few different profiles: the building had visited the hotel, and at the end of the XIX century it was converted into a prison, which he served until the end of 1920-ies. As a Museum of urban history, the building became known only in the late 1960's.
The total area of the Museum is 600 square meters, three floors of the building is occupied by various exhibitions. Each of the Museum exposition tells about the history of Varna, on the development of the city from 1878 until 1939.
The Museum offers visitors to consider photos with the images on these old streets and houses. In addition, here are samples of various architectural elements and Palace items that had been preserved from the Park.
Many halls of the Museum are restored craft stalls and various shops (for example, children's toys, books). The recreated rooms of the old hotel, Studio photographer, cafe, law office, and even a bit of the beach sample of the XIX century with space for dressing rooms, and part of the patio of one of the old houses of Varna.
No less interest is the Grand piano, purchased in the mid 20's. it works were played, opening the first international music festival in Varna. By the way, a music festival held in Varna annually and bears the name "Varna summer".
