Memorial house-Museum named after. M. K. Ammosov Yakutsk branch of Yakut state United Museum of history and culture of peoples of the North named after E. Yaroslavsky. The Museum is located in the center of the capital of the Republic of Sakha – Yakutia and is part of the architectural-ethnographic complex "Old town". Memorial house-Museum is perfectly combined with the recently erected buildings.
In 1976, the house in which he lived and worked for M. K. Ammosov, was included in the register of architectural, historical and cultural monuments under state protection. In 1987 the building was awarded the official status of the memorial house-Museum.
The exposition of the Museum reflects the life and work of the Soviet state and party figure M. Ammosov, as well as production and economic and socio-political life of Yakutia from 1916 through 1928, illustrated biography of the Soviet and party Yakut elite of the 1920s-1930s in addition, there are materials that reflect the movement of confederalists in Yakutia. In one of the halls of the house-Museum details the history of the expedition of the USSR Academy of Sciences, which was held at the initiative of M. Ammosov for a detailed study of the economy and resources of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The Museum collection consists of items reflecting different periods of life and activities of the revolutionary M. Ammosov. Recreating the interior of the working room used personal belongings Ammosov. A special place in the Museum devoted to the exposition, dedicated to the last days of the life of M. K. Ammosov. In 1937 he was arrested, accused of treason, and in 1938 was shot. The Museum also exhibited copies of recent letters M. Ammosov, books from her personal library, rare photographs and a number of materials devoted to his friends and associates.
