The Church of St. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Turnovo is an Orthodox Church in the town of Balchik. The erection of the Church began on the initiative of the Romanian authorities in 1935 and lasted two years. Supervised the construction of master Nicholas Panchev from the town of Dobrich. After the liberation of the Dobruja in 1940, work temporarily stopped. In 1946, the priest Vasily Demirov supported the continuation of construction, and with the support of the faithful the Church was soon completed with funds donated by local people.
External and internal appearance of the Church of St. Paraskeva Turnovo – the merit of the masters Dimitar Dyulgerova and angel Neonova. The building is constructed of gray brick and the outside is almost devoid of any decorations. Architectural type, it refers to the cross-domed churches. The entrance to the Church is preceded by a large porch, above the doors on the front facade is the image of the patron Saint of the Church of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa.
The roof is covered with red tiles in the same color painted domes, covering a triangular apse and tower. Bright cover, contrasting with the grey walls of the Church, makes the building visible from afar.
