The Palace Suan Pakkad Palace is Thailand's first Museum, established on the basis of private property of the Royal family. It was opened in 1952 Princess and Prince Cumshoting. The Palace is located on 6 Rai of land roads of Sri Ayudhaya in Bangkok.

The name Suan Pakkad Palace literally means “Cabbage Leaf”. It contains the best collection of Antiques in all of Bangkok which has been passed down in the Royal family from generation to generation since Prince Paribatra Sukhumbhand, son of king Chulalongkorn Rama V and the Queen was Sukumal Marasri..

In the Central garden of the Palace Museum, Suan Pakkad Palace is the famous Lacquer Pavilion, it presents a great wall painting using gold coating, which has 450 years.

The greatest interest in the Palace is the Center of Art Chumbhot-Pantic. In his second and third floor consists of a collection of ancient artifacts of the era of Ban Chiang, the age of which is about 4,000 years. Here and ceramics, and metal pieces and jewelry made of precious stones and silver. The collection of findings of the era of Ban Chiang gave historians around the world a lot of information about our ancestors and their lifestyle.

On the second floor of the Art Centre also houses a Gallery Marcy, its aim is the preservation and development of Thai contemporary art. Different exposures exhibited here all year round.

Just in the Palace there are 5 Central buildings in traditional Thai style with covered walkways between them. Of great interest is their external surface in teak with fine carvings handmade by the best craftsmen of Siam.
