Stone chapel in honor of the Derzhavnaya icon of the Mother of God is located in the city Park of Victory. It was built in 2001 in memory of soldiers-internationalists, who died in local wars. But in the perception of local residents, this chapel is a reminder of all the heroes who sacrificed their lives for their homeland.

The main initiators of erection of the chapel became the local Governor EAO N. M. Volkov, Chairman of regional public organization of soldiers-internationalists S. T. Minko. The construction of the chapel was completed in a very short time. In August he was consecrated the Foundation, and after a month on the temple set up with a cross on the dome. The solemn consecration of the chapel in the Park of Victory was held in December 2001, the Chapel was built with money collected by the whole world.

Outside the chapel is decorated with a mosaic image of St. innocent, Metropolitan of Moscow, and of the Holy great Martyr George the victorious. In the chapel you can see a huge list of the Derzhavnaya icon of the Mother of God.

In December 2011, Bishop Joseph decided that the interior of the chapel has found completion. For this purpose they invited professional art restorers from the city of Serpukhov, who did this job for a month. The interior walls of the chapel are decorated with images of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky and St. George. Trying to emphasize the theme of the army, in color, it was decided to focus on shades of red.

The chapel of Derzhavnaya Mother of God is part of the memorial complex of the Victory square.
