The Palace adds (another name is Mexican house) was built during the reign of king joão V, in 1774-1755 years and is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city of Braga.
The construction of the Palace was designed by the architect andré Soares, already known in Braga with his art projects, commissioned by an influential and wealthy businessman Juan Duarte de Faria, who was a knight of the order of Christ. Presumably in 1867 the Palace was sold to the businessman josé Miguel adds, and after a while the Palace was called the Palace adds. Later the building passed to the order of Charity, which is placed in the Palace a separate room of the Hospital of St. Mark.
With regard to the architectural features of the Palace is made in the style of late Baroque. The Palace of the Raya is one of the most visited places in the city of Braga, and in 1956 entered in the list of monuments that are of public interest.
