The Palace puslowski in Kossovo Photo: the Palace puslowski in Kossovo

The Palace puslowski in Kossovo called Knight's Dream. It was built in the early nineteenth century in the nostalgic style of the old Gothic castles. On the project worked with the architect františek Ascold from Warsaw, and for interiors was invited Italian artist Marconi. Year built Palace - 1838.

Over the Palace walls towering 12 large towers on the number of months in a year and 365 small towers on the number of days in a year. The Palace had 132 rooms, each one was a unique work of art. One of them even had a glass floor, under which were floating aquarium fish. In the library puslowski was over 10 thousand books. The Museum was built in such a way that each corner was filled with sunlight. I puslowski was beautiful and strange tradition to make a "Day room". They loved to decorate any room with fresh flowers by the time it fills up with the first rays of the sun.

After the death of the head of household Casimir Puslowski his life's work on the construction of the Palace and Park were continued by his son Wandalin Puslowski – rich Polish manufacturer. In addition to the family nest Wandalin Puslowski owned a woolen factory, a mill and a brick plant. About the fabulous wealth puslowski was legendary. One of them is that from Kossovo castle in Ruzhany Palace padded secret underground passage length of 25 kilometers.

Unfortunately, family wealth fell into the hands of the unworthy heir. Son Vandalia Leon lost cards in a magnificent Palace, built by the ancestors. Fate spared not unique romantic castle. First died of rare trees and flowers in the Park, then became greenhouses, overgrown ponds.

During the First World war next owners pilfered unique library, sold all the paintings. During the Second World war, the guerrillas set fire to the Palace, to smoke out entrenched within the ancient walls of German soldiers.

Now in the Palace puslowski reconstruction has begun. It is hoped that soon, thanks to the laborious efforts of restorers, we will see the revived eighth wonder of the world in all its glory.
