Cabbage market (Zelný TRH) is referred to as the Central area of Brno, which you should not miss while walking. It started to build up in the early thirteenth century. We can say that around that square and began to form the city. Previously, the main square of Brno was called the Upper market and actually served as a trading site where you could purchase a variety of products, dishes, shoes, clothes, poultry and cattle. The market was divided into sectors, each of which sold a particular product. Traders are not disputed among themselves for the best place, and buyers knew exactly where you can buy the right thing.
In our time in the square, too, have dealers, however, they are few. Basically, there are selling flowers and fruits. However, it is a luxury for European cities: still Zelný TRH has long become one of the main squares in Brno.
There is always a lot of tourists. They are photographed in front of an ancient fountain, representing a sculptural composition "Parnassus". The fountain came here in 1690 and is considered one of the most original in the Czech Republic. Just looking at it, learning of ancient heroes and mythological creatures, a few tens of minutes.
