Chateau dobříš, located in the eponymous small town 30 km from Prague, is known not only for its historical interiors, as something within its walls at one time visited by many famous writers and poets. The fact is that after the Second world war dobříš castle was converted into a rest House, which belonged to the Czech writers ' Union. Therefore, there was marked not only all the famous Czech masters of artistic word, who lived in the twentieth century, but many Soviet authors, for example, Ilya Ehrenburg, B. Field, and so on. Came here and writers from friendly countries, including J. Amado.
Place to relax the writers selected are wonderful. Magnificent Palace, once a Royal, but by the XVII century found themselves abandoned and dilapidated, in 1630, was purchased by count Bruno Mansfeld. The new owner completely rebuilt the castle, giving it a residential look and adapting to a life of luxury, however, several decades after the repair of the castle was damaged by fire. Mansfeld solved the problem radically and strengthened the walls of his estate with an iron designs. The castle was rebuilt in the Rococo style, this is the way we see it now.
The castle is surrounded by a French garden laid out in 1750, and the English Park, which was created later.
Now at the castle Museum, which displays a collection of furniture, watches, and motorcycles. You can also see some of the preserved interior. The castle owned by the family of Mansfeld-most of which returned to their property in 1989.
