One of the most interesting attractions of the city is Dusseldorf castle. After it was built in 1984, his story evolved in different ways, at both times of disasters and revivals. In 1492 began a series of trouble castle, it was in this year occurred the first fire, which could destroy most of it. Restoration work was subsequently carried out, but it lasted a long time.

1510 castle again ablaze with fire, this time for the construction works to be accepted by a famous and talented architects Domenico Martinelli, Zundorf and Alessandro Pasqualini. In 1795, the share of this beautiful Palace was the fire, unfortunately, this time to the recovery effort began only 50 years later. After 1872 in Dusseldorf castle again suffered a massive fire, it ruins it was decided to demolish. At this time of renovation or construction was out of the question.

At present reminder of its former existence of a castle said the stone tower is the only surviving building. In the tower is a Museum dedicated to shipping and navigation, and on its upper area is a small restaurant.
