Ternitz - Austria city located in the Federal state of lower Austria in the district of Neunkirchen. Is the most populous city in the County, and the fifth square. Ternitz covers an area of 65 square kilometers.

The first documentary mention of Arnica dates from the year 1352. Is today the city is densely populated, but before 1862 in Ternitz everything was completely wrong. In 1842 appeared in the railway service, and later Alexander Scheller founded a steel plant in the city. Since then the population has steadily increased, the plant, the number of employees has reached 1000 people. Over time the city developed industry, increased economic stability. In 1948 Ternitz received the city status. The employment rate of the population in 2001 was 43, 19 percent.

The main attractions of the town include: steel City Museum, castle Texensis and natural protected Park of Siming-Platzer. The castle is used for theatrical performances, concerts and exhibitions, is available for private events.

Today in Ternitz function 138 companies, which employ 6383 people.
