Municipal house of Prague, a magnificent example of art Nouveau style, located on the Republic square (namesti Republiky), was built in the early XX century on the site of the Royal Palace, where he managed to get all the most celebrated personalities of the Czech court. The Palace was built in the XV century, many times destroyed by fire, but rebuilt. Finally, it was decided not to restore, but to create an entirely new building, which would be consistent with the views of Czechs about the ideal structure of the "Czech national Revival".
