The farm complex is located in the Farm Park, now it also applies to Alexander Park, as the first main part belongs to the Agricultural University and is in ruins. The first wooden buildings were built in 1810 for the Imperial farm, transferred here from St. Petersburg. In 1818-1828, the architect A. A. Menelas built stone buildings in angulations style. All the buildings are one - and two-storey – United by one fence and form a picturesque complex that survived to our days, with the exception of buildings of wood.

By the beginning of XX century it went smoother. Also to the fore the problem of economy in the production of milk and dairy products for the Imperial family, and the surplus could buy everyone. During the First World war because of a shortage of meat here have been breeding pigs.
After the nationalization of farm buildings moved to the Agrarian University, and has long been used for its intended purpose. During the great Patriotic war the building was badly damaged.
Until the early 1990-ies in this territory operated a riding school, and since 1992 – equestrian complex of the Museum "Tsarskoye Selo". In 1988 he initiated the restoration of the ensemble. The building caretaker and barn (now stable) have been restored. Now to ride in a harnessed Orlov trotters carriages in the Park can be anyone. I Kucherov – a special form. In the farm buildings soon to be opened Museum in which guests will be able to trace the usage history of a horse person.
