The Church of St. Martin, located right in the centre of Trebic and the main city temple, was built in the XIII century in Gothic style, and after 2, 5 century completely altered. From the original building, little has been preserved, but some ancient details it is possible to try to find. First, it is arch, which is about four centuries, and secondly, the iron door next to the altar, where you can see personal coat of arms V. pernštejn involved in the alteration of the Church in 1502. The rest of the interior dates back to the XVII century.
Local guides draw the attention of tourists to the Department of the XVIII century, which is decorated with a canopy. She looks very solemn, with its detailed carvings and a successful combination of polychrome and gilded details.
Altar arrangement placed somewhat unusual for the Catholic Church. She's a little thrown forward, which makes it similar to the iconostasis in the Orthodox Church.
The history of the Church is very interesting. At first he belonged to the Catholics, and then his selected followers, the Hussites, who a century committed in their worship, and the Church was always full. In 1630, after the Catholic Church regained significant weight on the territory of the Czech Republic, the Church was returned to her. In the seventeenth century it underwent a major renovation, which lasted until the beginning of the next century. It was during the renovation of the temple was connected with a free-standing tower that was converted into a bell tower. And now without this tandem panorama of the city would be incomplete.
