Park Pasonanca is located in the homonymous district of the city of Zamboanga, also known as the "little Baguio of the South" (Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines). The Park at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and surrounded by green hills, is one of the main attractions of the city. Through the Park runs a small tranquil stream, the banks of which grew thick with trees, bushes, and amazing beauty of flowers – just orchids presented here 600 views! The highlight of Pasonanca is a huge tree, on top of which is hidden a little shelter in this house, you can even stay overnight. The house was built in 1960 as a Center of learning for young people." Today it is visited by several thousand tourists a year.

The construction of the Park Pasonanca began in 1912 under the leadership of the Governor of the island of Mindanao, John Pershing, who for these purposes "discharged" from America specialists in garden landscape design. Today the Park comprises three public swimming pools – one for its size is not inferior to the Olympic pools, the other designed in the form of a fountain, and the third is for children. The water in the pools is constantly updated. And arranged around picnic areas and pavilions, which, however, must be booked in advance. Another attraction of Pasonanca is a garden of Maria Clara Llobregat, named in honor of the former mayor of Zamboanga. You can find a collection of amazingly beautiful flowers – orchids and roses, and a Butterfly House, which collected several hundred of these fine creations of nature. Here is a bird aviary that is home to parrots, turkeys, eagles and other birds.

Throughout Pasonanca padded eco tour-path of length 1, 8 km, which leads to the highest point of the Park, there is a wonderful view of the surrounding rain forest.
