Belosarayskoy ornithological reserve was created relatively recently - in 1995. As the name implies, it is located on the same spit in the Azov sea. Alluvial sand bar that goes to sea at fourteen miles long, boasts a unique climate and clear water that attracts a large number of birds. This place was long since chosen by gulls and mallards, sandpipers, swans and other birds migrating to breeding. So if you want to enjoy the free flight of gulls or mallards, walking sedately along the Bank – welcome to Belosarayskoy ornithological reserve. In addition, Belosarayskaya spit is still and the landscape reserve of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, there are many lakes, one of them especially like the swans. It is called Swan. Here you can also see the biggest village herons in the Northern Azov region.

Due to the fact that KOs boasts a unique ecosystem of wetlands – it is also called the island of Mediterranean flora and fauna. Here you can find a large number of not only birds, but also animals. Fishing enthusiasts are attracted by clear waters full of fish. And for those who prefer ecological holiday – sand beaches and untouched nature.

The reserve was established with the aim of preserving this unique natural area. Belosarayskaya spit built up with hotels and resorts, more and more people come here for the summer. On the one hand, the development of tourism contributes to the prosperity of the region as a whole, on the other hand less space remains for the birds. Therefore, if you decide to visit the ornithological reserve – respect them and their habitat. And your children and grandchildren will thank you for what you have preserved unique inhabitants of this corner for them.
