Bobruisk regional local history Museum was established in 1990 and had the original name of Bobruisk state regional Museum of Military and Labor Glory. In 2007, the Museum was renamed.
Currently the Museum has three exhibition and two exhibition halls. In the hall of Ethnography can get acquainted with the objects of the peasant folk life period of the late XIX - early XX centuries. In the archeological Museum with many interesting finds, collected on the territory of modern Bobruisk district.
The exposition devoted to Bobruisk fortress, tells the story of the construction of military glory and the famous exploits, and about the period when the castle became a dungeon for the Decembrists. In the hall, dedicated to the Soviet period, you will learn about the creation in 1919 of the first agricultural communes in the village Anusavice.
The exposition, dedicated to the famous people will talk about the famous residents of Babruisk: the playwright V. I. Dunin-Martsinkevich, the literary critic Ales Adamovich, the writer P. Golovach, poet M. Abramczyk, the writer A. Dyatlov, granddaughter of the great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin - N. And. Vorontsov-Velyaminov.
In the hall dedicated to the great Patriotic War houses photos, weapons, items, telling about the heroism of the residents of Bobruisk during the Nazi occupation, about the partisan resistance, the underground work.
The Museum holds many interesting events: exhibitions of paintings by artists, exhibitions of children's paintings, photo exhibitions, exhibitions of works of folk artists, archaeological and literary tours, lectures, master classes.
