Oinousses is a group of small Islands in the Aegean sea between the island of Chios and the Turkish coast. The largest and only inhabited island of this group is also called Oinousses and its area is approximately 14 square kilometres and a permanent population does not exceed 1,000 people.

The island has long been famous for its beautiful vineyards and excellent wine. According to one version, hence its name.
