Thermal Park of Garda lake Photo: Thermal Park of Garda lake

Thermal Park of the Garda lake is located in the small town of colà di Lazise in the Veneto region. This is a unique place where there are all conditions for rest, relaxation, health care and even entertainment. Itself thermal water having a temperature in 37ºС, emerges from the ground from a depth of 160 meters and falls into an artificial lake. In her extremely low content of minerals and absolutely no chemical contaminants. These characteristics make this water a great tool for prevention and treatment of various skin diseases.

But the Thermal Park of the Garda lake is a perfect destination for a relaxing stroll among historic buildings surrounded by gardens. One of the most interesting buildings is the Villa Cedri, built in the late 18th century by the architect Luigi Canonica. During the Second World war it was the headquarters of German field Marshal Erwin Rommel. Villa Moscardo even more ancient – it dates back to the 15th century. On its facade you can see a plaque commemorating the visit to these places of Emperor Charles V in April 1530. In addition, the Park is guest houses, stables, majestic glasshouse built of wrought iron in the second half of the 19th century and is decorated with a dome, and three caretakers Lodge, the chief of which is made in neo-Gothic style.

The creators of the Park was probably a family of Moscardi who bought these lands in the middle of the 18th century. Their cause was continued by members of the noble families Miniscalchi-Erizzo, descended from the Venetian Doges and owned the Park since the late 18th century and until the beginning of the 20th century. They built three-storey neoclassical Villa Cedri. In the photo some Richard Lotze stored in the Museum Miniscalchi in Verona, you can see rare photos of the Park taken in 1860, the year.

In 1989, the new owners of Villa Cedri decided to dig a hole to create the irrigation system in an extensive Park. At a depth of 160 meters, a surprise awaited them – the hot thermal springs rich in carbonic salts, calcium, magnesium, lithium and silicon. Then was born the idea of building an artificial lake with an area of about 5 thousand square meters, in which the use of pumps could be pumped thermal water. So there is "Thermal Park of Garda lake". Under the ground laid a network of pumps with a total length of 6 km with 1400 injectors that lead water to different parts of the lake so that the temperature remains the same throughout the day. At the same time that the lake was built the grotto – initially it served as a decorative element, but over time has turned into a real "hot" Paradise for lovers of bodily pleasures.
