The building was built in 1695, after a Royal decree authorizing the construction in the city of Pskov stone Mandative chamber, due to the fact that Pskov is a city border, there were often large fires. Some time ago the building was donated to the Museum property, and in the not so distant 1995, were completed enormous restoration work, thanks to which, you can learn how everything looked in the 17th century. Now, the Writ having been in the wards, you can see the wooden floor, which is fastened with wrought nails, hand forging and, of course, much more. One of the most beautiful exhibits of the Museum - an unusual tiled stove. It is warm today as three centuries ago.

The exposition of the Museum is not very big - just a few areas. Masters-restorers of our time artfully restored the interior, which had a medieval house at the time, where many centuries ago, the Governor and clerks supervised the Pskov land.
