Has 3 altars: the main one is the Epiphany, and 2 side – chapel of the beheading of John the Baptist – southern, and the Three Hierarchs (Basil the Great, Gregory the theologian and John Chrysostom) – North. The temple was founded in 1496, but at the same time, for the first time in the annals it is mentioned in 1397. About it, he said that he is "Epiphany red cross, the red cross means beautiful the intersection. On the other side were two others of the Church of the Epiphany, therefore, these three churches were called "Holy triangle", because this place was consecrated water on the feast of Theophany (Epiphany).

This beautiful structure was admired by the famous architect Le Corbusier, who came during the Soviet years from France in the framework of cooperation between the two countries in the field of architecture and construction. The image of the ancient Pskov Church inspired his work 50-ies, in particular built to his design in the years 1950-1953 the chapel in his home town of Ronchamp.
The building of the temple, preserved until today, was built in 1496. Before that was another temple, which was replaced with a stone. The architectural image of the last building is a rectangular structure with one head, with an asymmetrical composition that has 3 of the apse, narthex, galleries and 2 chapels. The facade on the apses and the drum is decorated with the so-called "Pskov necklace". Inside has a cross-domed structure with four pillars.
At the Church in the 16th century the bell tower was built with five spans and a basement. Until recently it was 7 vintage rings. The largest of these was cast by Ivan the terrible, a second smaller – pollany, third, the size of the second, everyday. There were two small dings and pozvanka. Now ancient bells replaced. On 13 October 2008, the Metropolitan was consecrated by Eusebius of 7 new bells, which were cast in Voronezh. Then they looked up at the belfry. The biggest of them weighs about two tons.

In the 90 years of the 20th century, there were research and archaeological work, carried out emergency response activities under the direction of A. K. Bogodukhov.
